1. Why did Leslie die off stage?
The director wouldn't take the part when how Leslie died. Because the main point isn't her dying. If they did, they would really pull down the whole mood even more. Making us feel terrible. And it's difficult to film one dying.
2. Who/What does the Dark Lord represents:
i. Jess.
Dark Lord represents his dad.
ii. Leslie.
Dark Lord represents her adaptation to new environment.
iii. Me.
Dark Lord represents cockroaches.
3. Which version do you like better and why?
I prefer the movie. The movie, which includes pictures and sounds where the book does not, create a better impact on us. It makes us feel more real. Pulling us into the movie. So this made us feel that we are in the movie, putting ourselves in their shoes and think.
